How it all Started

My Esthetics career started back in 2000. I wasn't happy in college, and I felt the pressure to find something to do with my life. I found myself enrolled in cosmetology school when one day the esthetics department needed facial models. Y'all. I switched departments that week!

At that point my skin was a classic teenage mess. Scarring from picking acne, inconsistent texture, and general breakouts. I had no idea how much change I would see in my own skin as we were learning on each other.

Throughout this 1800 hour course I learned about skincare and the treatment of certain skin conditions.  Along with facials, this course included techniques in facial peels, body treatments, make-up application, and of course WAXING!

This was a turning point in my life that I am truly grateful for today.  Not only did it bloom into a career that I couldn't have imagined - it also allows me to meet and work on an infinitely diverse group of people.

My goal with this blog is to share my insights on skincare and waxing by telling my story. Thanks for reading. I hope you keep hanging with me!
